Well that was easy.
On paper, this didn’t seem to be so bad… and it wasn’t. Amazingly, every flight was made without delay, loss of luggage or incident. However, I am looking forward to being grounded for the next little while here in Auz. Temporarily I’ve lost interest in carry on luggage, being a member of a zone, staying seated when the light is on, stowing tray tables and full body scans.
While in Niagara it was great to see family & friends and our stay at the top rated Trip Advisor B&B…. Chez Schoon’s! (Ps. The second B is for BEVERAGE). This trip also included a full combat New Years with some awesome people, multiple meals & gatherings, Chippawa Pub visits, brewery tasting and a birthday party. Thanks to all for the good times.
The experience of travel is more than just seeing the sights. It’s also about the people you connect with along the way. Speaking with a veteran at Pearl Harbour, helping the airport restaurant staff with Christmas decorations, Max the 3 year old that was smarter than a fifth grader and the many bartenders & servers that make for a pleasant trip.
As much as I gripe about the cold…and I will continue to do so, there are just so many things that just seem like a better idea here at our new home. You be the judge!
